Goa State Medicinal Plant board will be providing financial assistance to farmers cultivating medicinal plants such as Stevia, pipli and kokum. The board has invited application from farmers interested in cultivation of such plants. For Stevia cultivation the financial assistance will be Rs 1.37 lakh per ha (subsidy available for 12.5 ha area), for Pipli and Kokum it is Rs 0.27 lakh per ha (subsidy available for 20 ha area).
