The villagers of Melauli on Monday demonstrated before the village panchayat Guleli demanding scrapping of the proposed IIT Goa at Melauli. The villagers, gathered in large numbers before the panchayt ghar and demanded answers from their local representatives. “We do not want IIT Goa at the cost of our livelihood,” said the villagers.
