Goemkarponn Desk PANAJI: Group of inmates of the Colvale jail allegedly attacked one undertrial today morning. The undertrial attacked has been identified as Gajendra Singh alias Chhotu who was involved in vandalizing Souza Lobo restaurant. Singh was attacked by prisoner named Ashif with a sharp weapon. However, timely intervention prevented the fight from escalating any further. During the scuffle, Singh sustained several injuries was taken to Sub District Hospital at Mapusa for treatment and subsequently brought back to the state central jail. Gajendra was arrested in connection with attack on staff and ransacking of a popular shack at Calangute.
