Velim eco-friendly pencils are the brainchild of 18-year-old Kaydence Rodrigues. She wanted to find a solution to the rising wastepaper and plastic menace in Goa and India. Combining the dual purpose of recycling waste newspapers and making them into pencils, Rodrigues decided to manufacture and promote eco-friendly pencils to reduce plastic pens’ usage. Goemkarponn desk New Delhi: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai released internal data and said the highest number of custodial deaths were reported in Gujarat, followed by Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Bihar respectively.
