In another drug haul, the Crime Branch on Friday seized drugs worth approximately Rs 90,000 at Calangute. Crime Branch arrested one Tony Joao Fernandes with 68 g Charas in Calangute with 68g high quality charas worth over 90,000. The raid comes close on the heels of the Crime Branch raid on Vagator rave party wherein drugs worth Rs 9 lakh were seized. The Crime branch is also investigating if there were any links to this rave party of Tony Fernandes. Bollywood actor Kapil Jhaveri, Percept live co-owner Shailesh Shetty amongst 22 others.

In a virtual show of strength, hundreds of people from Shel Melauli and surrounding areas gathered marched to the Guleli Village Panchayat demanding scrapping of IIT Goa project. Three members of Revolutionary Goans, who supported the villagers have been arrested. The villagers demanded letter also from the Panachayat opposing the IIT project.
