Panaji: Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (Rooftop Solar Division) has allocated 75 MW to Goa under phase 2 of solar roof top scheme. Under the Scheme the Ministry of new and renewable energy will provide 40 percent subsidy to residential roof top upto 3 kw and 20 percent for 3 kw to 10 kw.. Panaji: Alongwith JSW Steel Goa government has issued a demand notice to 18 other firms handling coal at Mormugao Port Trust (MPT). A total of Rs 208 crore is due in the form of Goa Rural Improvement and Welfare Cess for transportation of coal from the period 2014 to July 2018. Panaji: JSW has filed a write petition before the Goa Bench of the Bombay High Court challenging the applicability of the Goa Rural Improvement and Welfare Cess Act, 2000 on goods transported by rail and the issuance of a show-cause notice dated 29th September 2020 for non-payment of the cess to the extent of INR 156.34 crores.
