    BJP promises three-free cylinders, mining resumption & DDSSY pension of Rs 3000

    Three free LPG cylinders to every household in Goa to ease the burden on the homemakers of the state.
    Good quality housing for all Goans in the next five years by providing home loans for deserving families at an interest rate of 2% for women and 4% for men and developing & providing residential plots.
    Not increase the state duties on petrol and diesel for the next three years.
    To introduce the Manohar Parrikar Kalyan Fund, a Common Development Fund of up to ₹3 crores for every Panchayat and up to ₹5 crores for every municipality to boost infrastructure.
    Introduce a homestay scheme that will provide an interest-free loan of ₹5 lakh and training for those local residents of Goa wishing to provide homestay facilities.
    Make Goa the meetings, conventions and exhibitions hub (MICE) of Asia, further boosting the tourism sector.
    Restart mining in the state through the Goa Mineral Development Corporation and auction of iron ore blocks
    Establish a brand new International Football Stadium and Football Academy with a world-renowned coach in the state and host the FIFA U-20 World Cup in the upcoming years.
    Increase the old age pension for senior citizens to ₹3,000 per month.
    Every year, free health checkups worth ₹4,000 under the “Atal Health Checkup Scheme.”
    Rationalize the working hours of police personnel and ensure that they have a work-life balance.

    PANAJI: Taking a cue from ex-CM late Manohar Parrikar’s 2012 election promise, the BJP in Goa today once again vow not to increase VAT on fuel for the next three years. With a series of the populist announcement, BJP released its election manifesto that assures to provide three LPG cylinders free of cost per family.
    The manifesto was launched by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in the presence of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, BJP Goa President Sadanand Shet Tanavade and other BJP national and state leaders.
    “BJP has always given Goa a stable and development-oriented government during the last 10 years. The progress that you could see in Goa is because of the stability of the last 10 years,” said Gadkari after launching the manifesto.
    Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that this is a totally inclusive manifesto and includes all sections of society.
    “It will help in the development of everyone in Goa. We will definitely with a majority of seats in Goa on our own. Anti-incumbency is not a factor at all.” said CM.
    As per the manifesto, the BJP will provide three free LPG cylinders to every household in Goa to ease the burden on the homemakers of the state and shall provide good quality housing for all Goans in the next five years by providing home loans for deserving families at an interest rate of 2% for women and 4% for men and developing & providing residential plots.
    Further, BJP said that it shall not increase the state duties on petrol and diesel for the next three years and will introduce the Manohar Parrikar Kalyan Fund, which will be a Common Development Fund of up to Rs 3 crores for every Panchayat and up to 5 crores for every municipality to boost infrastructure.
    “BJP will introduce a homestay scheme which will provide an interest-free loan of 25 lakh and training for those local residents of Goa wishing to provide homestay facilities,” the manifesto states.
    The BJP said that it will establish a brand new International Football Stadium and Football Academy with a world-renowned coach in the state and host the FIFA U-20 World Cup in the upcoming years and, through our constant efforts, propel Goa to a growth trajectory that will enable the state to become a $50 billion economy in the next 10 years.
    “We will transform Goa into the Health and Wellness hub of the country and make Goa a premier destination for co-working spaces and remote working in the post-pandemic world and will promote Goa as a destination for high-end technological research,” it says.
    The BJP manifesto also claims to revamp the Chief Minister’s Apprenticeship Programme to provide every unemployed graduate of God with an apprenticeship wherein they can obtain the skills necessary for gainful employment with a Rs 25,000 stipend during the apprenticeship period.
    In terms of healthcare, BJP said that the state will achieve universal coverage for healthcare and eliminate stunting and malnutrition among children.
    On Tourism, the BJP manifesto promises to double the number of annual tourist arrivals in the state in the next five years by harnessing the potential for inland, medical, and promoting heritage and spiritual tourism while augmenting the current infrastructure around adventure sports and beach tourism.
    On mining, BJP claims that within six months of returning to power, we will start mining in the state through the Goa Mineral Development Corporation and auction of iron ore blocks through transparent leasing and by following the due process of law.
    The manifesto also informs that the state government have already announced the new mining policy in the state that will allow for the utilization of low-grade ore stacked across Goa.
    “We have taken steps to auction iron ore blocks in the state and also established the Goa Mineral Development Corporation, which will undertake mining in the state. The imminent revival of mining activities within the next six months in the state will massively benefit the people of Goa through the creation of job opportunities and the revitalization of the economy,” it said
    “To completely eliminate multidimensional poverty in the state over the next five years, we will deliver social welfare benefits to the poor promptly and through Direct Benefit Transfers. We will increase the old-age pension under DSSY to 3000/- per month,” the manifesto claims.
    In the fisheries sector, the BJP aims to make Goa the leading exporter of seafood by supporting fishing activity in the state.
    Also, in a bid to create self-reliant women, the BJP said they committed to making women equal partners and beneficiaries of Goa’s progress and prosperity. We will formulate & implement a comprehensive action plan to drastically increase female workforce participation over the next ten years through complete incen tives for female entrepreneurs, especially in the tourism sector.
    Also, to support the state’s women, we will enable Women Self-Help Groups to establish Annapoorna canteens for affordable food, short-stay homes for working women, and shops across the state exclusively sell SHG made products. Every GTDC Hotel will have these exclusive shops.
    “We shall build world-class eco-friendly transportation infrastructure for Goa. We will reduce end-to-end travel time to less than an hour by harnessing the state’s inland waterways for both passenger and cargo transportation,” BJP said.
