CANACONA : BJP in Canacona constituency after a hurricane and long procedure finally declared the booth presidents for all the 59 booths and elected new Canacona BJP president Prabhakar Gaonkar.
Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar who is deputed as Returning Officer by the BJP headquarters announced the name of Prabhakar Gaonkar as Canacona BJP Block president in the presence of Canacona MLA and GLA Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar and outgoing president Vishal Dessai. Tawadkar informed that the elected 10 members booh-level committees and the Presidents of all 59 booths is the pillar of the party, on whose strength the party can defeat any kind of challengers and BJP can become victorious.
Earlier, names of all the 59 booth presidents were announced (the collegiate to elect new block president) and each of the booth presidents were presented with a BJPs Scarf and a Flower at the hands of Tawadkar and Amonkar.
According to BJP MLA Sankalp Amonkar, over-all 3 BJP Block Presidents are already declared on Saturday, a few more will be announced today, while in all 36 of the Block Presidents out of the 40 Assembly segments will be declared before 7th of this month.

After declaration outgoing mandal president Vishal Desai in his farewell words, praised and appreciated cooperation of his executive committee and than booth presidents for their support, made to elected president Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadakar, and securing the maximum votes in of the south Goa constituencies at the Lok Sabha elections.
BJP State Secretary Sarvanand Bhagat who is the incharge of electing Booth presidents with booth level members and Block presidents stated that due to some technicalities leaving 4 constituencies all the 36 constituencies will be completed in next two days. 4 Lakhs new members are added, besides, 1200 active members are registered during the membership drive and 14 crores members have joined Bharatiya Janata Party nationally.
Chanda Desai proposed votes of thank, and also present on dais were manuska Naik Gaonkar, Ssanjiv Tilve, Youth president Rajnesh Komarpant, while Canaocna block general secretaries Vishant Gaonkar welcome and Ex-CMC Chairperson Divakar Pagui compered the entire function.
While it is a promotion to Prabhakar Gaonkar, as block president from the previous committee post of vice-president –I, seeking cooperation from all to prepare strongly for the 2027 assembly elections, informed that his new team of Executive Committee consisting of General Secretaries, Treasurer,and others will be announced later.
