VASCO: On the occasion of World Ocean Day, the Bisleri Trust launched its pioneering initiative, ‘Bottles of Change’, in a grand event held in Vasco. The initiative aims to promote plastic recycling and environmental sustainability, particularly in coastal areas.
The event witnessed the esteemed presence of Environment Minister Alexio Sequeira, who emphasized the significance of collective efforts in preserving our oceans. “The launch of ‘Bottles of Change’ is a commendable step towards a greener planet. It highlights the importance of recycling and responsible waste management, especially in coastal regions,” said Minister Sequeira.
Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar also graced the event, underscoring the local community’s role in supporting such initiatives. “Vasco has always been at the forefront of environmental conservation. With ‘Bottles of Change’, we can further our efforts to keep our beaches and oceans clean,” he remarked.
The event featured a series of engaging activities, including beach clean-ups, educational workshops on plastic recycling, and interactive sessions with environmental experts. Local schools and community groups actively participated, showcasing their commitment to the cause.
