MANGOR: In a daring burglary, thieves targeted the residence of Bibijaan Gawari near the Maruti Temple in Mangor, leaving residents shaken and authorities on high alert. The incident, which occurred on Saturday afternoon, saw burglars decamping off with goods and cash estimated to be worth Rs 2.5 lakhs.
According to the distraught house owner, the stolen items include three gold chains, a valuable watch, and approximately Rs 20,000 in cash. The perpetrators seemingly gained access to the property by infiltrating through the roofing tiles on the ceiling, suggesting a calculated and premeditated plan.
Local law enforcement, led by the Vasco Police, has launched a thorough investigation into the matter to apprehend the culprits and recover the stolen property. Residents of the area have been urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities promptly.
