PANAJI: PWD Minister Nilesh Cabral today said that the state cabinet had approved the appointment of two agencies to sort the issue of potholes on Goan roads.
“State cabinet has approved the appointment of two agencies to sort the issue of potholes on Goan roads. These agencies will be using the latest jet-patcher machines to repair potholes,” said Cabral.
Cabral said that one lane of the eight-lane Zuari Bridge would be opened either by June or July end.
“Zuari bridge will be made open for public by June end, or July said PWD minister Nilesh Cabral today. This will be the first round of test,” he added.
Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho said that the proposed viewing gallery on the upcoming bridge on the Zuari river in the state would be better than the Eiffel Tower in France.
“The Central government has helped Goa by sanctioning Rs 25 thousand crores to build better connectivity of roads. The new Zuari bridge is being built at the cost of Rs 2,500 crore. The iconic viewing towers on this new bridge will be better than the Eiffel Tower in France, which will attract tourists,” Godinho said.
