PANAJI: Crime Branch in a raid have arrested a Russian National in illegal possession of suspected cannabis seeds and plant.
The accused has been identified as a Russian National Oleg Fedorov (45).
The Crime Branch said that it had gathered information and tip-off on which the raid was conducted during which a suspected cannabis plant plus cannabis seeds were in the rented premise of the accused at Keri in Pernem.
Police said that the accused was illegally possessing a suspected cannabis plant cultivated in a plastic paint container.
During the raid, cannabis seeds weighing 30 grams were seized.
Crime Branch has said that further investigation has been going on.
