PANAJI: The Corporation of City of Panaji is planning an Entertainment Zone at Patto, Panaji for teh benefit of locals and vendors.
Speaking to reporters after CCP meeting, Mayor Rohit Monseratte said there is nothing happening in the city at night so people have to go outside.
“We are planning an entertainment zone at Patto where we have vendors, where you have entertainment, where shopkeepers and restaurants also benefit. We thought about Patto because it really does not bother anyone. There are no residential units. The people of Panjim and the people of Goa will benefit,” he said.
Monseratte also said that the CCP wants to accommodate the 92 food carts which were near Don Bosco like bhel puri, ros omlettes, ice creams somewhere
as they have no place to operate after Smart City works started.
“We have discussed several areas like Joggers Park etc,” he said.
He also said that the CCP wants to take action on the ban of single use plastic
