PANAJI: Cecille Rodrigues, Aam Adami Party assembly incharge, exposes the issues faced by the villagers in Hanuman Nagar – Sailem Bhat.
In the village, citizens complain of a lack of basic facilities such as street lights, PWD water connection, and proper footpaths.
“Around 25 families of Hanuman Nagar, a village situated in Saliem Bhat-Taleigao, dependent on well water from the last 15 years. On one side CM Pramod Sawant promises 16 thousand litres of free water supply, and the other side, the residents of Hanuman Nagar have been facing difficulties for the last several years”, said Cecille Rodrigues in a video posted on social media.
“The villagers are complaining about the bad pathways and non-working street lights to the panch members. After our intervention, the street lights got fixed. In that also two street lights that were fixed a month ago worked only for two days.
But, now, these street lights are not operational. The village is right in the middle of the forest, and they are living here without street lights. During the rainy season the pathways get worst”, she further said.
“Taleigao is a beautiful place. Most of the Goans passed through the Taleigao to GMC, Dona Paula to Miramar. All have seen the Taleigao through the outside. But, from the several years, they have been facing several issues, and this is the real Taleigao”, said Rodrigues.
