DAVORLIM: Chandor sports club crowned champions of 15th Davorlim Cup org by Sporting Club Davorlim as they defeated host Sporting Club Davorlim 2-0 in the finals played at panchayat ground Davorlim.
The finals began with strong rain and wind and fans who were come to witness the finals were did not bother but watch till the last whistle.Due to rain the control of ball and accurate passing couldn’t seen but large crowd witness the finals.
Chandor scored two goals in two session of play through sunny fernandes in first session while Velentinho carvalho scored in second half.
Davorlim got the opportunity through Ajay raj,Prince Figueredo and shail but couldn’t capitalized on the chance that came in their way. On other hand
Chandor club could have increased the lead but Mario Fernandes, Gale DCosta and Laximan Gaonkar couldn’t hit the target.
Mr.Ulhas Tuenkar mla of navelim was the chief guest and gave away prizes to winners and runners up in the presence of Vallab varik Fr.Domingos Noronha ,Anthony Colaco, Caitan Colaco,Myola Rocha,santosh Naik,Simon carvalho Martin Rocha other panch members dignitaries and club officials were present
