PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today dismissing all claims said that the COVID-19 vaccine is completely safe and people should come out and take the benefits.
“there have been fake news and false claims that the covid vaccine is not safe, I appeal again that the vaccine is totally safe and everyone should come out and take the dose,” said CM after flagging off the Field Outreach Beauru Van to clear off the people’s apprehension of immunization
He said that people should not make politics on the issue as it is related to health.
In order to increase the awareness of COVID Vaccination, its efficacy, safety and to clear apprehensions on Adverse events following immunization (AEFI), Field outreach Bureau ( FOB) Goa- unit of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting launched a month long campaign starting today.
The massive awareness drive intents to reach out the last mile with information regarding COVID vaccination plan and COVID appropriate behaviour; curbing misinformation and rumours surrounding vaccines.
The campaign is geared towards confidence building and to clear the air on all the aspects of vaccination. The campaign also involves a component on AtmaNirbhar Bharat, through which FOB Goa plans to inform Goans, the various schemes, prospects and policies of Government of India which includes Skill development, Entrepreneurship, significance of Vocal for Local etc.
