PANAJI: As COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Goa, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has said that restrictions will be imposed on indoor and outdoor meetings.
He also said that elections are unavoidable and need to be held
“Restrictions will be imposed on indoor and outdoor meetings, Collector will be issuing new order,” said CM Sawant
He further said that public should avoid crowded places, weddings, political meetings and all large gatherings, and make sure to wear masks and sanitize.
“Covid care centres to reopen at Shyamaprasad Mukherjee stadium and Fatorda Stadium. Testing is free of cost and we have sufficient testing kits available,” he said
Speaking on revamping of facilities CM said that 60 more beds to be provided to Bambolim and 150 more beds to be made available to south goa District hospital. He said that ESI hospital to restart its 210 beds by tomorrow.
Speaking on testing, CM Sawant said that by Monday, mobile testing vans will be started to make reports available within 8 hours.
He informed that police will be imposing heavy fines in public places from tomorrow and also urged that Program and Venue organisers should follow the rules and restrictions sent by the collector.
Speaking on municipality elections, he said that they are unavoidable, however every infrastructure to tackle covid have been made available.
He added “Plasma donors requested to come forth and help in this time of need.Vaccination camp to continue for all people above 45 years of Age,”
CM also requested peole who havd fever and drop in oxygen level is observed, the patient must immediately report to a hospital for proper treatment by our medical teams.
