PANAJI: Former Minister and Congress candidate Michael Lobo has slammed teh Chief MInistre, Dr Pramod Sawant, for trying to suppress the voice of the Goans by using officials of the Election Commission.
After the ECI officials and police stopped Lobo’s press conference in Mapusa, he took to Twitter to vent his ire.
“With great power comes great responsibility. But the
@BJP4Goa government only knows to behave irresponsibly. Today yet again, while addressing a press conference in Mapusa, we were stopped by the officers of the Election Commission on behalf of
@DrPramodPSawant,” he said.
He further added, “despite following the code of conduct & the Covid protocols. There is not a single FIR filed against @DrPramodPSawant, who is holding meetings with a huge crowd. Officers of the Election Commission has become the puppet of the Government of Goa. and is trying to shut the voices of people who represent Goans. Seems like another political agenda of the @BJP4Goa to manipulate the Officers of Election Commission & the administration against @INCGoa. Is @BJP4Goa scared of losing its power in 2022?.”
