CANACONA: Taking strong view on increasing different forms of illeegalities, Canacona Municipality in the presence of Canacona Mamlatdar removed about 15 moving Carts stationed near KTC Bus Stand of both sides of the NH66 road on Thursday.
None of these carts were reportedly permitted by any authorities but were openly carrying out trades in front of every authorities turning blind eyes.
Tea, Batatwadas, Somasas, Ross-omelette, Bhaji, besides non veg items prepared with chicken were sold on these carts, with the food and drugs nor weights and measures taking any acrions.
According to municipal sources none had neither trade license from any municipality. Accordingly, this action was taken today’, informed CMC Chief Officer Rameesh Gaonkar.
Canacona Mamlatdar Madhu Narvekar was also present during the drive. CMC used a JCB to removed the carts which placed illegally and any authorities.
Meanwhile, a pale of gloom descended on unemployed youths who alleged their live hood is taken away by the is municipal action, as these unemployed youths were earning their living by giving food items to customers on these mobile carts.
