MORJIM: An unidentified individual was arrested by Mandrem Police for violating the election code of conduct.
According to police, the accused was attempting to persuade voters to openly carry party brochures and badges without authorization.
The incident happened at Morjim Panchayat on March 21 at 12:20 p.m., according to police.
In this regard, the head of the flying squad for AC Mandrem, Vivek Kumar Sharma, filed a complaint alleging that an unidentified individual was attempting to persuade voters to carry around leaflets and badges of a local political party without getting permission from the appropriate authorities.
The accused has broken the election code of conduct’s rules and regulations.
In this regard, a violation of Section 188 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code has been recorded against the person.
