District Magistrate, North Goa District has imposed the following restrictions/ban in North Goa District: Movement of all individuals for all non-essential activitiesJuly 16, 2020 8 pm to July 20, 2020 6 am.
Two seprate notifications issued by R. Menaka, IAS, District Magistrate, North Goa District and Ajit Roy, District Magistrate, South Goa, imposed the following restrictions/ ban in both District from July 16, 2020 8 pm to July 20, 2020 6 am.
Also, the Collectors have issued orders on night curfews begining 8 pm, tonight to 6 am August 10.
* All shops/establishments except essentials.
* Restaurants.
* Tea shops, Pan shops, Street Food vendors. Other Food shops/joints(Dhabas, Gaddas), Beach shacks and all other types of eateries.
* Public Transport except taxis.
* Markets except for essentials
* Offices including Government excluding those pertaining to essential Government functioning and private offices excluding those pertaining to essential services.
* Sports complexes.
* Shopping Malls.
* Wine and liquor shops.
* Religious Places/Places of worships for public.
“The ban on above is issued in addition to all other activities restricted/banned as per Order No. 8/8/2020-MAG/L&O/(VOL-1)/4662 dated 07/06/2020,” it says.
Further the order states that any person contravening this order shall be punishable under Section 1882/3 the Indian Penal Code.
This order shall come into force with effect from 20.00 hrs of 16/07/2020 till 06.00 hrs of 20/07/2020.
