PANAJI: With rising cases of COVID19, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has convened an emergency meeting with expert group of doctors to suggest measures to the government in public interest.
“I have suggested to Director DHS & Dean GMC to convene an emergency meeting with expert group of doctors to suggest measures to the government in public interest,” said Rane
He further said that there has been a significant jump from 112 on 28th Dec to 170 today, similar to the rise that occurred in April-May 2021.
“Goa being a tourist destination, it is very important for us to protect the citizens as well as the tourists,” he added
Rane said that the state government is driven by the expert advice of the doctors and are waiting for the doctors to deliberate and make concrete suggestions to the govt, in order for us to be in a better position to take the correct measures in view of the rising cases.
