Margao: Curtorim MLA underscored the development carried out by the BJP government in the constituency.
“So far, our emphasis has been on the development of Curtorim, and it will continue to be our primary focus. We are committed to improving the roads in Curtorim, and I’m pleased to announce that the construction of the Curtorim Police Station building has been completed. Its inauguration is scheduled soon,” said Curtorim MLA Reginal Lourenco.
Additionally, he said, underground cabling work is currently underway to enhance the area’s infrastructure.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has nominated Pallavi Dempo, recognizing her integrity. Srinivas Dempo’s significant contributions to assisting people in South Goa further underscore the importance of our candidate, Mrs. Dempo. Today, let us solemnly pledge our support to ensure Mrs. Dempo’s victory. Together, let us unite to elect Mrs Dempo with a substantial majority and send her to represent Curtorim in the Lok Sabha,” said Reginaldo as he addressed the audience gathered at the Shri Mahakali Ganapati Temple in Vaghule.
Mrs. Pallavi Dempo, the BJP’s candidate for the South Goa Lok Sabha Constituency, conducted a campaign tour in the Curtorim constituency.
Joining her was Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo, Vice President of BJP ST Morcha Anthony Barbosa, and other esteemed members of the party.
The focus was on the continued development of Goa, particularly in the Curtorim area. Mrs. Dempo emphasized the importance of community involvement in achieving progress.
She highlighted her efforts in revitalizing several government schools that were previously closed, ensuring smooth administration and educational opportunities for the students. Addressing the gathering, it was acknowledged that often, politicians make promises during elections but fail to follow through afterwards.
However, Mrs. Dempo’s commitment of staying connected with the people and addressing their concerns was praised. She pledged to establish an office in Margao if elected, facilitating easier access for the residents of South Goa to voice their needs.
The importance of having a leader who not only seeks votes but also genuinely connects with the community and works alongside them was emphasized. Mrs. Dempo’s presence was seen as a symbol of this approach, with the belief that her leadership would lead to significant development in Curtorim and beyond.
Pallavi Dempo said, she had the opportunity to visit the Curtorim area previously, but today marks my first visit to the Eklati area.
“I pledge today that my foremost priority will always be to serve the best interests of Goa and its people. I am committed to utilizing the schemes provided by the Centre for the Development of Goa and will particularly focus on addressing the issues faced by women in our society. I assure you that I will work with utmost honesty and dedication in whatever position I hold. Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi, our nation, including Goa, is progressing steadily,” she said.
The BJP government has introduced numerous schemes aimed at empowering women and girls, benefiting over five lakh individuals in our state alone. Additionally, Prime Minister Modi’s initiatives have generated employment opportunities, contributing to the growth of our economy. We seek sustainable development, and I firmly believe that the Modi government is capable of delivering it. Let us join hands to strengthen Prime Minister Modi’s leadership for the betterment of our nation and its people, said Mrs. Pallavi Dempo.
