PORVORIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today assured to strenghten Cybercrime cell, including new technologies to prevent cases.
MLA Aleixo Lourenco Reginaldo had alleged the Cell is not strengthened to take action against the ‘sadist’ cyber criminals
“In cybercrime, 45 cases are currently registered. We regularly create awareness about cybercrime, with most cases involving financial fraud from online services and fraudulent calls,” said Sawant.
He further said that the home department has strengthened our Cybercrime Cell and is taking measures, including new technologies, to prevent these crimes.
“Cybercrime has increased in various ways. New innovations will be introduced in the coming days to strengthen the Cybercrime Cell for faster detection,” CM said.
Meanwhile, Sawant also said that New innovations in the Cyber Crime Cell will be taken up in 2 months, and the Police stations will be further strengthened.
