DAVORLIM: Chandor sports club enter the finals of 15th Davorlim Cup 2024 with a solitary goal victory over Margao Sports Club in the second semifinal played at panchayat ground Davorlim organised by Sporting club Davorlim.
As match started and from the word go both teams try to control the game and try to play with short passes and try to penetrat in rival defence and in the 6th minutes of play Chandors Mario Fernandes shoot blocked by Margao keeper Carol soares while on other hand Charles miranda powerful shoot from the 30yard missed the target by whiskers and at the breather both teams remained on 0-0
As match progressed in the second session both teams try to take lead and in the 40th minutes of play chandor Alton send a cross which was well connected by Safik shaik who’s shoot deflected Margao keeper Carol and crush in the net.And soon chandor created another move by Joaquim carvalho who sent long pass to Louie but his right footer went out of target. The Margao mounted pressure and got a free kick outside the box.
