VELSAO: The demarcation exercise for the double tracking project at Mollo, Velsao, is scheduled for December 20–21, according to confirmation from the South Goa District Administration.
Following this weekly meeting at the South Goa District Collectorate, Environment Minister Aleixo Sequeira made this announcement.
In order to address the demarcation issue that has sparked protests from Velsao residents, the Minister had already met with the Railway employees.
Although SWR recently finished the mutation process and its name was added as a co-owner of Survey 18/1, residents claim that procedures were not followed, including notifying them of required notices, and as a result, the railways’ certificate of land possession was allegedly fraudulent.
In addition to being informed about the delineation exercise, the Mollo residents have been invited to a conference with the Directorate of Settlement and Land Records (DSLR) in January to discuss the subject.
