CANACONA: The Lions Club of Canacona in partnership with Mandovi Parivar Jana-Sena has launched an Emergency Helpline Service Van for the needy society of Canacona.
This Service Van was launched at Molyma Resorts Rajbag, Canacona on Monday in the presence of Senior Lion member PMJF Lion Mario Fernandes, Jansena Co-ordinator Siddharth Gayak, President (Lions club of Canacona) Lion Gourish Vernekar, Zone Chairperson Lion Yogita Vernekar, Vice-President Lion R.S.Nayak, Lion Ulhas Phaldesai, Lion Gopichand Vernekar, Lion Vallerian Viegas, Lion Dilkush Shet, Lion Aruna Shet, Lion Sajjan Gaonkar, Lion Nelson Fernandes, Lion Ravi Desai and Leo Secretary Arth Vèrnekar.
Speaking on the occasion President Gourish while welcoming expressed the motto of this service project stated, “To reach in the deep recesses of our hearts and pockets and to reach out to society is the bounden duty of every Lion. It is heartening to note that Mandovi Parivar Jana Sena has taken cognizance of service to the community of Lions Club of Canacona and has made us a partner in societal service through its Emergency Helpline Service Vans that will enable the old and the needy to take benefit of this noble initiative’ at an informal function to launch the service.
Lion PMJF Mario Fernandes expressed his views and thanked Janaseva Pioneer Janardhan Bhandari for supporting this project. ZC Lion Yogita asked all Lion members to contribute and support this service to carry forward in a smooth way. Later all other senior members shared their views. Lion Aruna Shet thanked all and concluded the event.
