PANAJI: BJP Governments at the Centre as well as the State have failed in providing basic comforts to the people. This is the root cause of rising family disputes which result is divorces, stated Congress General Secretary Amarnath Panjikar.
BJP must also stop promoting “Political Divorces” to set an example to the young generation.
Reacting to the statement made by Law Minister Nilesh Cabral, GPCC General Secretary held faulty policies and mismanagement of the BJP government as most important factor responsible for the family feuds.
BJP Governments after coming to power have completely mismanaged the economy. The unilateral decision of demonetization, thoughtful & sudden implementation of GST, unplanned nationwide lockdown announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has resulted in collapse of economy. BJP Government failed to provide jobs to youths resulting in collapse of household budgets, stated Amarnath Panjikar.
Goa Government has pushed the State into bankruptcy. The abrupt decision of former Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar to stop mining came as a first blow to the backbone of economy in Goa.
“The successive BJP Governments finished Tourism Industry with mass corruption and lack of vision in promoting Goa as safe and secured tourist destination. I appreciate the statement of Law Minister Nilesh Cabral of admitting that divorce cases are on a rise in last few years. He must understand that the rising disputes and conflicts in the families is due to social insecurity for which BJP government is responsible,” claimed Amarnath Panjikar.
Today, the highly qualified youths are without jobs. There are no employment opportunities made available to the youth. BJP Government has focussed only on rhetoric of “Acche Din” when in reality people are passing through real bad times. Law Ministers statement on divorces is clear cut admission of failure of BJP Government to give confidence to the people, charged Amarnath Panjikar.
“I would like to suggest to the Law Minister to send a proposal to BJP High Command advising them to conduct counseling to their party functionaries on respecting peoples mandate. It is BJP which has time and again promoted “Divorce Culture” among MLA’s to somehow keep their party in power. BJP encouraged “Political Divorces” in Goa, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and various other states to grab power from the backdoor. This type of political marriages also don’t last longer,”Amarnath Panjikar said.
He said the BJP Government is directionless in addressing the core issues. Just giving counseling to couples will not resolve the problem. Government must ensure that social security is provided to every citizen. Government must ensure that people are not deprived of basic comforts which will help in reducing the family disputes.
