PANAJI: The Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) carried out inspections at several fast food outlets and hotels in Panjim as part of its ongoing food safety enforcement drive aimed at ensuring compliance with hygiene and food safety standards.
During the inspections, FDA officials examined hygiene conditions, food handling practices, storage facilities and overall compliance with food safety regulations to safeguard public health.
The department said the inspections are part of its routine monitoring of food establishments to encourage adherence to prescribed food safety norms.
The FDA warned that any violations detected during the inspections will be dealt with in accordance with the Food Safety and Standards Act and other applicable regulations.
The department also urged food business operators to maintain proper hygiene, follow prescribed food safety practices and ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements to protect consumer health.
