PANAJI: Goa College of Engineering and Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre, Assagao moved into the semifinals of the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Cricket Championship 2023-24 for Women, at Goa University Cricket Ground, Taleigao.
In the third quarter-final, Goa College of Engineering defeated V. M. Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar by 54 runs.
V. M. Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar and elected to bowl first.
Batting first, Goa College of Engineering scored 124/1 in 10 overs.
Riya Naik 41(52), Vaishnavi Phadke 26(32) were the topscorers.
In reply, V. M. Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar could manage only 70/6 in 10 overs.
Simran Kanekar 17(21), Reeya Shetye 15(22) scored for Salgaocars.
Riya Naik 2/9, Vaishnavi Phadke 1/10 were the wicket takers for GEC.
In the fourth quarter-final, Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre, Assagao defeated
Vidya Prabodhini College of Commerce, Education, Computer and Management by 86 runs.
Batting first, Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre, Assagao scored 129/2 in 10 overs.
Tanaya Naik 57(34), Mitali Gawander 24(15) top scored for DMC and Deepali Sarkar picked a wicket for Vidya Prabodhini.
In reply, Vidya Prabodhini College of Commerce, Education, Computer and Management scored only 43/5 in 10 overs.
Riya Folkar 11(24) not out was topscorer.
Tanaya Naik 1/02, Mitali Gawander 1/03 picked wickets for DMC.
