CANACONA: Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) Chairman Dr. Udaysinh Shrikant Raorane, a non-Goan appointed some few months back, is kept in wraps by the government/Information Commissioner for the best reasons known to them, charged GFP leader and Spokesperson Prashant Naik.
Naik speaking on side lines of a press conference speaking to pressmen said, ‘Government when normally appoints or make appointments especially to top and constitutional post information is released to the press and the appointment news appears on newspapers be it appointment of heads of departments like Finance commission head, pollution control board head, Panchayat head, etc,
Now since the appointment of GPSC Chairman 6-7 months have passed by, no news reports on this appointment of GPSC Chairman. Besides, at least it is not in my knowledge that any government has ever appointed a non-Goan on the Chairman post of GPSC, previously. GPSC is Goa based and the name itself suggests it is Goa Public Service Commission, We had already exposed the governments inadequacy of filling a number of posts in Goa University from outside the state rather than Goans, GU has become the fiefdom of outsiders. Eligible and capable Goans youth are not taken in any university posts, and we have been exposing the government on this.’
Now. The 6 months old appointed GPSC Chairman Dr. Raorane qualification is MD (Ayurved), Ayurved means one can understand which and with whom is the connection. Secondly if one goes to Facebook of Dr. Udaysinh we can see only three Facebook friends from Goa and one of them(Friend) is Sulakshana Pramod Sawant. Just informing you for your knowledge to understand the episode even better. He does not have much experience in Administrative Qualification, he worked as a lecturer at a number of places, worked as post graduate teacher at Shivaji university, worked as Asstt. Professor Ayurvedic Medical college, worked as Dy. Registrar at Maharashtra University, held some very few good administrative positions.
This government is talking about transparency, right, why and what was the need to bring an outsider as the chairman of Goa Public Service Commission? GPSC is making top posts appointments like collector, dy. Collector, Mamlatdar, Director, and not clerical and lower grade posts, and for that reason the government needed an outsider, when our own state has a number of more educated, more capable and most intelligent personnel who have the highest degrees at their credit.
Do any BJP MLA , Ministers have mouth or face to ask the government or question the government …to ask how dare you appoint a non-Goan as a chairman of GPSC? Does their sanghatana sleep? It is a shame to the BJP Karyakartas, BJP office bearers and it’s a shame to all MLAs who are blindly supporting this government. We have UPSC 1st ranked , 2nd rank passed-out people like Ashutosh Teli, and many Goans have reached to top positions, and you can’t appoint one on Chairmanship of GPSC?
Is this not nonsense, why does the government need outside people on such a State interest based post?
How a non-Goan is made a GPSC Chairperson? So, this government is not of Goankars interest, non Goan people’s interests, they are selfish and self appeasers.
Naik also ranked the number of outside appointees in Goa university stating being the Governor a Keralite, how come 3-4 people from Kerala one from Mangalore at GU important posts.
It should not be we (GFP), but the andolans and agitations should have been done by the people of BJP sanghatana adhyaksha and leaders. The BJP booth Presidents, the Block presidents, The Zilla Presidents, and and State President should ask this question with the government.
