PONDA: Former Congress President Girish Chodankar has been upset over negligent attitude of government and has warned government of a massive agitation if it fails to provide reservation to OBC, ST and SC students for PG courses at GMC.
He even alleged that government is anti Bahujans as despite there is Court directions to provide reservation the government failed to provide reservation benefit to these communities.
He said that BJP only want votes of Bahujans at time of election.
Meanwhile The National OBC Mahasang Goa President Madu Naik upset over not providing reservation called on the Chief Minister Pramod to clear the reservation file for PG courses at the GMC for SC , ST and OBC students which is pending with law department .
Naik said the government announced the reservation for PG courses for 2021 22 and even assured to the Court but till date the rules have not been amended and hence students from the backward classes have been deprived of 24 reserved seats out of 60 seats .
He also stated that of the 60 seats , 16 had been reserved for OBCs , 7 for ST and one seat had been reserved for SC. In first round students missed reservation and at least government gove justice in second round.
He stated that the PG admission by merit rules dated March 3 , 2004 need to be amended by government soon and the filed cleared by the Law Department at earliest.
