PANAJI: The Central Government has notified the constitution of 3 member State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA), Goa.
The Authority headed by Dr Purushottam Pednekar has Dr Dipak Gaitonde as a member and Director, Dept of Environment & Climate Change, Goa govt as Member Secretary.
A member State Level Expert Appraisal Committee(SEAC) has also been notified by the Center. The SEAC chaired by Pascoal Barbosa Noronha has Dr Nitin Sawant, Dr Subhash Bhosle, Prasad Rangnekar, Dr Jose Faleiro, Sanjay Jahagirdar, Sujeetkumar Dongre, Sanjay Amonkar as members and Sr Environmental Engineer, Goa State Pollution Control Board as Member Secretary.
The term of office of both the Authority and the committee is 3 years, according to the notification issued by the Union Ministry Of Environment, Forest & Climate Change.
