After a long wait the Goa Medical College has finally launched the Apharesis machine in the hospital, which is used for plasma therapy.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane took to social media to announce the launch “In a new milestone, we are happy to announce the launch of Apheresis Machine at GMC,” Tweeted Rane.
He said that with this newly inducted machine, GMC should be commencing convalescent Plasma therapy from next week for treatment of critical #COVID19 patients.
“Thankful to Terumo Penpol for commissioning this state-of-art machine,” he wrote.
He said that “we at Health Ministry, Government of Goa, are persistently working to contain this pandemic. #GoaFightsCOVID19”.
