PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant announced that the Government will provide an annual Bonus to 100 best-performing Swayampurna Mitras whose annual performance will be judged from April 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024. He added that some Swayampurna Mitras have done praiseworthy jobs in their village Panchayats.
He was speaking at the orientation/ refresher training Program for Taluka Nodal Officer and Swayampurna Mitras under the Swayampurna Goa Programme organized by the Directorate of Planning, Statistics and Evaluation at the Institute of Menezes Braganza, Panjim today.
Highlighting the Modi App, Dr Sawant said the Government will launch the Goa Swayampurna app soon so every Swayampurna Mitra can upload their work done in his/her panchayats area. This will help to pass on various ideas and initiatives between Swayampurna Mitras.
Swayampurna Goa Concept is a unique concept which has helped to achieve the objective of taking Government to the doorstep of the people, he said and added Government officers from other States have also visited Goa to learn about the Swayampurna Goa Concept and is trying to replicate the same concept in their respective States.
Indore city takes pride in being the cleanest city in India, but it was a proud movement for me to hear that Goa is the only State which has successfully implemented Atmanibhar Bharat Swayampurna Goa Concept, Dr Sawant said.
He also urged all the Nodal officers and Swayampurna Mitras to promote Goan products.
Secretary Dr V. Candavelou, IAS, in his address, said that Swayampurna Goa is a very novel and innovative initiative under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi appreciated this initiative and directed other states to replicate it in their respective States. He said in the Swayampurna concept, Nodal officers and Swayampurna Mitras play an important role.
Director of Planning, Statistics and Evaluation Vijay Saxena, State Coordinator, U.S to CM Smt Isha Sawant and other dignitaries were present on occasion.
