In the year of parliamentary elections, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant while presenting a ₹1720 cr Revenue surplus budget for financial year 2024-25 said that the GSDP will see a growth of 13.87 per cent.
Giving the fisacal details of the State CM presented a ₹ 26,765 cr budget for 2024-25.
Sawant said the State’s Goa State Domestic Product (estimated) at ₹ 103,087 cr for 2024-25, which is estimated 13 p.c rise.
CM says it’s going to be surplus budget with possible revenue surplus of ₹ 1720cr.
“Per capital income was ₹ 6.75 lakh in 2023-24 our target is to reach ₹ 7.64 lakh,” he said.
Sawant said that the State has received ₹ 750 cr from centre and State is expecting ₹ 1506 cr in coming FY.
On fiscal deficit, he said the state has maintained deficit at 3.5 per cent which is (₹ 3149 cr fiscal deficit estimated), which is below permissible limit.
