Panaji: Strongly condemning the statement of BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanawade who has blamed His Holiness Sadgurudev Brahmeshanand Swamiji for the defeat of BJP South Goa Candidate Pallavi Dempo, the Congress said it is BJP & Narendra Modi who always tried to divide people on Religion, Caste, Language. South Goa taught a lesson to the arrogance of the BJP.
Releasing a video of Swami Brahameshanand making a Vote Appeal to Goans, Congress Media Cell Chairman Amarnath Panjikar blamed the BJP for indirectly targetting Swamiji and demanded that Sadanand Tanawade must apologise to Swami Brahameshanand.
“It is shocking that Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Tanawade has termed simple Vote Appeal of Swamiji as “Political Interference by Dharma Guru”, said Amarnath Panjikar.
BJP is completely frustrated due to the humiliating defeat of their imported & wealthy Candidate in South Goa. People from Ponda, Shiroda, Sanguem, Mormugao, Curchorem, Margao, Navelim, and Nuvem Constituencies where there is a sizeable population of Hindu Bahujan Samaj and ST Community did not vote for BJP as expected. Interestingly, all these Constituencies are represented by BJP MLAs, pointed out Amarnath Panjikar.
The people of South Goa have taught a lesson to all those who Betrayed God and the BJP for admitting such Traitors to the Party. BJP President has no right to blame any Dharma Guru or Spiritual Leader for their defeat. It is the anti-poor and pro-rich agenda of the BJP which has cost them a defeat in South Goa, stated Amarnath Panjikar.
His Holiness Brahmeshanand Swamiji had two months back exposed the BJP Government headed by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant by calling “Calangute as Thailand”. Swamijis’s statement was vindicated by Calangute Voters who gave the lead to the Congress Candidate in North Goa. This must have surely irked Sadanand Tanawade who tried to blame Swamiji without taking his name directly, said Amarnath Panjikar.
BJP must realise that it is not the appeal of any Dharma Guru, but the arrogance, dictatorship, and insensitivity of BJP leadership which has led to their defeat in South Goa. Anti-environment projects, Unemployment, Inflation and Corruption were the core issues which defeated the BJP. It is the Victory of Peoples Power over Money Power, claimed Amarnath Panjikar.
