AAP’s convener Rahul Mhambre has strongly criticised the press conference done by CM Pramod Sawant. CM Sawant in his entire address focused on failures of Congress and said nothing about his plans to save mother Mhadei.
On Covid, He said we can not predict what is going to happen.
“10 years of Congress, 8 years of BJP, Goans are loosing mother Mhadei and both these parties are busy playing blame game. I want to ask Pramod bab, you took 12 MLA’s of congress to form your Govt, did you even think of what they have done to our Mother Mhadei at that time? Now you are doing live press conference to tell us what Congress did, do you think Goans are fool? What you have done to protect Mhadei?”, said Rahul Mahambre.
Pressing on the importance of River Mhadei, Rahul Mhambre said Mahdei is the single largest source of sweet water and the lifeline for every Goan. It is the main source of irrigation. River Mhadei is mother for every Goan.
“Pramod Bab you should have also told us that you have the same WRD minister, Philip Neri was there in the Congress Govt as WRD Minister. If you are so honest about Mother Mhadei then why you have awarded him the same ministry? Why Goans should trust you?”, asked Rahul Mhambre.
BJP has compromised the interest of Goans to the Centre. Since Karnataka has more Parliamentary seats Centre is favouring Karnataka’s move protecting its political interest. Goa has only 2 MPs, Centre is least interested in listening to Goans. CM Sawant has is also silent about the violations done by BJP’s Karnataka Govt. in contempt of the Court order. The structures built by Karnataka Govt surreptitiously has diverted the Mhadei water. We can see the level of flow of water has reduced even when Goa has received the highest rainfall ever. Just imagine, what will be the situation in summer?
