PANAJI: To train all of the government high school teachers in Goa, the Goa government has announced partnerships with a number of training organizations throughout India, including NCERT, Indian School of Business, and others.
According to CM Sawant, efforts have been made to improve the infrastructure and faculty of government schools in order to elevate their standards.
“Improving the infrastructure and faculty of government schools is essential to raising educational standards,” Chief Minister Sawant confirmed. The initiative was further explained by Prasad Lolayekar, the Secretary of Education, who said, “We are starting a mission to provide training to all government school teachers.”
In order to accomplish this goal, we have partnered with a number of institutions to train teachers. Additionally, he declared that the government would be implementing the CM Vidya scheme from this year onwards, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to educational reform.
In the midst of these progressive initiatives, though, questions have emerged about government-aided schools that continue to charge extra from their students even though they receive government funding.
In response to this concern, Chief Minister Sawant urged parents to resist giving in to pressure like this. He underlined the government’s commitment to guaranteeing all students, regardless of their socioeconomic status, have access to an affordable education.
Additionally, the government is currently updating the policies and procedures governing the hiring of personnel for different government positions, indicating a more comprehensive dedication to administrative reform. In addition, starting with Standard 9, the National Education Policy (NEP) will be put into effect, bringing Goa’s educational system into compliance with federal standards.
Chief Minister Sawant restated the government’s commitment to giving each and every Goan student access to a top-notch education. Reiterating the government’s commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in education, he stressed the significance of guaranteeing that no student is denied admission, with roughly 100 Higher Secondary Schools (HSS) located throughout the state.
