PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today reaffirmed that the Goa Government shall continue to strive toward creating a more efficient and business-friendly tax environment that benefits all the sectors in Goa equally.
Chief Minister attended and released the SAMVAD Magazine Vol 1 during the Evolution and Way Forward program organized by the Goa Chamber of Commerce & Industries-GCCI, and Dempo College of Commerce & Economics on the momentous occasion of completion of 7 Years of GST in the presence of the President of GCCI Shrinivas Dempo, Central GST Commissioner Bipin Kumar Upadhyay and other dignitaries.
“Goa Government shall continue to strive toward creating a more efficient and business-friendly tax environment that benefits all the sectors in Goa equally,” said Sawant
Sawant also thanked and congratulated all the stakeholders for their contribution to the smooth operation of the GST and the development of our state.
CM said that the GST has brought the country under One Indirect Tax regime, making the entire country a unified market. He mentioned that GST has increased the pace of formalization of the economy and has incorporated ease of doing business beneficial for all companies and enterprises.
“Govt of Goa is extending all the necessary support to businesses to thrive and hence has not increased any taxes in the last budget and he informed that this pro-business decision has ensured that Goa continues to witness a consistent rise in Tax revenues,” he added.
