PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that Goa needs investors in education to skill local youth and equip them for jobs.
“We are determined that Goa contributes significantly to the PM’s dynamic vision of self-reliant India. The state needs investors in education to skill local youth and equip them for jobs,” said Sawant
He further said that our state is eager to explore global opportunities in fields such as AI, Pharmaceuticals, Renewable Energy, and Ayurveda.
“The Government of Goa is committed to strengthening our position as a business hub by continually improving Ease of Doing Business, fostering business-friendly policies, enhancing living conditions, and expanding our infrastructure,” he added
Sawant also encouraged industrialists and businesspeople to consider Goa for purposes other than tourism.
Goa is shifting away from tourism and looking for ways to expand sustainably, Sawant said, portraying the state as a thriving industrial destination with opportunities for inclusive investments.
“We hope to draw in measures that support the blue economy and combat climate change. Renewable energy projects are encouraged, as are design and research-based services, Sawant stated.
According to him, the state is also interested in luring investments into the food processing, cybersecurity, blockchain-based businesses, and pisciculture industries.
“Goa seeks investors who will help transform the state into a green energy hub. Government would provide infrastructure in the form of food parks and give a favorable atmosphere for food processing facilities,” he said
He listed renewable energy adoption, blue economy with sea weed farming & sustainable pisciculture, food processing, R& D in Information Technology, Cyber Security, AI , Blockchain , Health & Wellness – both traditional Ayurveda and modern medicine, Education, Sports & MICE(Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) as areas of focus for the state. Portraying Goa as vibrant economic hub, he invited investors to invest in Goa’s future.
“Goa offers conducive environment for cyber security research and services which protect and empower businesses to grow securely,” he said adding that the state aims to become a preferred destination for AI and Blockchain companies.
