PANAJI: Goa State Pollution Control Board has issued a notice asking all operators who are involved in illegal recycling or retreading of tyres and who do not have valid consent to operate to immediately close operations.
The board has also asked general public to inform the Board in case if any such illegal handling of waste tyres is observed so that the Board can take necessary action against the violators.
The board has also asked all Producers, Recyclers, Retreaders dealing with tyres to register on the online waste tyre EPR portal developed by Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) https://www.eprtyrescpcb.in
