Vasco: The Goa Super Bodies Powerlifting Association is all set to conduct selection trials to form the Goa state powerlifting team for the upcoming National Sub-Junior and Junior Classic Powerlifting Championship 2025. The prestigious national-level event will be held in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, from May 20 to May 25, 2025.
The selection trials will take place on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at the SAG Gym in Vasco, with proceedings scheduled to begin sharp at 9:00 AM.
The trials will serve as a platform to scout the best sub-junior and junior lifters from across the state who will represent Goa in the national championship. Young powerlifters from various clubs and training centers are expected to participate, showcasing their strength and dedication to the sport.
The Goa Super Bodies Powerlifting Association has urged all eligible athletes to arrive on time and carry necessary documentation, including age proof, ID, and recent passport-sized photographs. Weigh-ins and technical checks will also be conducted as per the norms of the Powerlifting Federation.
This championship, organized under the aegis of the Powerlifting Federation of India, will see participation from top young lifters from across the country, making it a significant opportunity for Goan athletes to shine on the national stage.
