PANAJI: The Goa Tourism Development Corporation will celebrate Shiv Mahotsav on February 25, at Satpal-Sacorda, Dharbandora.
GTDC Chairman Ganesh Gaonkar informed that the festival will have performances on Shiv Ganas with Dhol Tasha, performance on Shiv Stuti Nrutya Natika, Renowned Bharatnatyam artist Pavitra Bhat will present Bharatnatyam on Shiv Bhakti and will culminate with Ganga Arti ceremony. There will also be a live performance by legendary singer Sudesh Bhosle, he said.
Asked about the festival, Gaonkar said the GTDC wants to promote hinterland tourism.
“This festival is in line with the Isha Foundation festival which draws lakhs of tourists and by making this a yearly event we would like to tap into the crowd at Coimbatore. People if they come to know we organise such events will divert to Goa in future,” he stated.
Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, Union Minister Shripad Naik, Minister for Tourism Rohan Khaunte, Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Shet Tanavade, and Chief Secretary V Candavelou will grace the occasion.
