PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said Goa would see a rise in domestic and international tourism in the coming years.
“Goa will witness a rise in domestic and international tourism in the coming years. Mopa International Airport will be commissioned from August 15,” said CM Sawant.
He further said that Mopa International Airport would provide jobs in the hospitality sector in large numbers.
“Students should opt for courses related to the hospitality sector. We will be starting marine courses from next year,” he added.
“The state government, in partnership with the GGIAL, is committed to creating skilled human resources required for the facility,” Sawant said.
The chief minister further appealed to youths to “grab opportunities in the private sector”.
Sawant said that it is the responsibility of teachers and school management to keep an eye on students and the school curriculum.
“Students should also look into sports and art and culture for career,” CM said.
