MAPUSA: Chief Minister and Sports Minister gave nod to Peddem Sports Complex for Hosting 37th National Games, Goa Goa, October 13th, 2023: As the 37th National Games Goa draw near, the recent visit of the Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant, and Sports Minister, Govind Gaude to the Peddem Sports Complex, in Mapusa has marked a significant milestone in the event’s preparations.
The complex, slated for full operational readiness by October 16th, stands prepared to host the eagerly anticipated 37th National Games, set to take place from October 26 to November 9, 2023. Spanning an impressive 3,200 square meters, the Peddem Sports Complex will host Hockey from 30th October to 8th November, Boxing from 1st to 8th November, Gymnastics from 23rd to 28th October and Billiards & Snookers from 27th to 28th October 2023.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant, a dedicated sports enthusiast, has personally supervised the preparations, ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained to host the various disciplines. The inaugural event at Peddem Stadium, scheduled for October 23rd, promises to be a remarkable experience for sports journalists and spectators alike. Meanwhile, school students are eagerly anticipated as spectators, and security will be maintained to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for all.
