PANAJI: Goa’s star sensation Tanisha Crasto along with her partner Ishaan Bhatnagar from Chhattisgarh, emerged Runners up in Mixed Doubles at the Scottish Open 2021 International Challenge Badminton Tournament, held at Glasgow, Scotland.
Tanisha / Ishaan defeated the eight seeded Scottish pair of Alexander Dunn and Scociara Torrance 21-14, 21-11 in the quarter-finals, followed by a 21-19, 21-14 win over Denmark’s Jesper Toft / Denclara Graversen in the semi-finals.
In the finals, the Indian pair, who are the reigning Junior National champions, went down to fifth seeds, Callum Hemming / Jessica Pugh (England), with a 21-15, 21-17 scoreline to settle for Silver.
