PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that his Government continues to create and maintain a healthy ecosystem for tourism to flourish in the state.
“Goa is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. The tourism sector is the key component of our economy. Our Govt continues to create and maintain a healthy ecosystem for tourism to flourish in the state,” said CM Sawant.
He further extended his greetings and best wishes to all the stakeholders and the people of Goa on World Tourism Day.
Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte said that Goa celebrates International Tourism Day with High Hopes of a Vibrant Tourist Season with Growing Tourist Footfalls, Revenue and Employment Opportunities.
“Goa Tourism is all set to Welcome the New Season,” he said.
Khaunte had recently attended the National Conference of State Tourism Ministers headed by Union Minister for Tourism, G. Kishan Reddy, at Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh.
Wide Exposure to innovative practices at the National Conference of State Tourism Minister will help GoaTourism in promoting Homestays and develop “Roots of Goa” Hinterland Tourism with a focus on Self-Sustaining Model Tourism Villages in Goa,” he had said.
