PORVORIM: While admiting about the poor internet connectivity in various places in Goa, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Monday informed that the government is in process of initiating a survey for evaluating the device and connectivity with students.
The CM also informed that the schools have been asked to submit the data by July 30.
“As a result of protests by people, there are 200 applications for mobile towers pending with government. I assure to provide the required devices to the students, once the survey is complete.” said CM on the floor of the House
Marciam MLA Sudin Dhavlikar had raised the question during the Question Hour, in a bid to know the steps taken by the government to improve network.
“While state government can install gas pipelines without proper NOC from local bodies then why is it that they cant install mobile towers in primary schools or government properties” Dhavlikar said
