MARGAO: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday announced that the State government’s next housing initiative will be the ‘Mhajo Flat’ scheme, aimed at helping flat owners who have completed payments but are yet to receive legal ownership documents.
Speaking after distributing house sanads under the Mhaje Ghar scheme, Sawant said the government would now focus on resolving ownership issues faced by flat owners across Goa.
“Today, we successfully handed over sanads under the Mhaje Ghar scheme. The next initiative will be Mhajo Flat, which aims to grant rightful ownership to flat owners who have already made full payments but have not yet received legal ownership documents,” he said.
The proposed scheme is expected to benefit residents who continue to face legal and procedural hurdles despite having fully paid for their flats.
